Welcome to all India Company Marines and their families.
The Gun Fighters
A long, long time ago I was company commander of India. I want to extend a very hearty and warm greeting to all of you devil dogs. I was present this year at a reunion of India 3/9 Marines from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. This year the reunion organizers included Desert Storm veterans. We are hoping to coordinate another reunion for 2004 that will be in Gettysburg, Pa.
At any rate, I want to put out the word, getting updates and
phone links going, and start getting some Desert Storm folks to get together for 2004 in Gettysburg. I must admit I was a little leery of going to the reunion this year as I thought it might be a little slow with blue-haired ladies in tow, etc. It wasn't slow at all. It was non-stop cold beer and whopper war stories with devil dogs who've seen a hell of a lot more action than we ever had. Real good guys! I felt good to be around Marines again.
I was born to be a Marine, and now He only lets me go to the reunions!
